Hello! I’m Kathleen, and I'm a computational linguist and Criminology and Criminal Justice PhD student at UMass Lowell. My research interests lie in developing NLP-driven methods for detecting and characterizing early warning signs of targeted school violence in social media discourse. I am actively seeking research opportunities involving computational methods and digital threat assessment, and am interested in criminal and deviant online discourse, AI-facilitated cybercrime, and cyber extremism and terrorism.
